(This report is not the final version but is being dynamically updated with inputs as and when received form the course-mates)

It has been a great pleasure to have been Commissioned in Indian Army
for All of us and to be in SIGNALS whether willingly or unwillingly-- has really been a BOON to each one of us. SODE24A has like the previous OST and SODEs has startted with normal Aim of attaining a Telecomn Degree in due course --- so many aspirations..Plaque/Gold/Star etc.....In every walk of Life You have others also to get them GOLD by being ALSO Ran!~!

OUR YOUNGER DAYS OF 1971-72 AT MHOW

The beauty was a parallel SODE with almost similar seniorities but aged to have been got married earlier & Thereby put us in a disssimilar competition when it came to getting Married accn etc!!!That also Brought out The BEST In the Keen Aspirants.

Then came 1971 War..all Youngsters Itching to Get to the Units to PERFORM for the Country were granted their wishes--Course suspended & all Landed in War.....
They Brought laurels to The Corps & in due course returned to finish the Degree with nascent bravey/enthusiasm and Intelligence!~!   We all parted company In oct 1972...Most got married in the Course duration & the Die- hards Remained Single!!though NOT for ever....

Our Lives in Army have seen the lovely and Lively days(and nites). Then came super-annuation except for Two Brilliant Course-Mates who were called by The destiny ahead of that.

Normally Officers THINK when in the company of
OBEISANCE - LONE TREE

What a GT it was.....Handsome GTofficers vying with the Gorgeous/smart/lovely/livelee/Of course ever Beautiful lADIES.

Sweet is NOT Sweet until u tasted...Love is Not Love till  You Felt it..GT is not GT till u were in SODE24A GT.

We all came by different boats but we sailed together as GTSODE24A.

By the sunset we all were in Mhow. Madhav had organised grand reception for us. The Delhi Party travelling by train were received by Sub SK Yadav at Indore BG Railway Station. Others coming by Air were picked up from Indore airport.
The highlight of the day was  Manohar Ramtri who drove along with Bewtras from Pune to Mhow  in his brand new TATA Safari all by himself all the way for 11 hrs. Well done young man.

Madhav had personally seen the accommodation allotment keeping in mind those of us who have defective undercarriage or have weeker power units to climb the first floor.

The beautiful bungalow of Madhav and Savita Datar,  SUMAN ay Mandleshwar Road, Mhow gave us just Not a variety of food but made us mingle as a Single Minded Person,.. We met some of us after four decades and many ladies for the very first time. It was  a family gathering for some family function,  in its true sense.

WELCOME ADDRESS BY COMDT
The Address of Welcome By the Youthful, Handsome, attractive Comdt (as felt by many in audience)..not only foretold what was in store but also showed in Kind words which were
educative captivating various Progresses & moving us all forward. The Foto session was typical Classical Mhow as you all see the Colorful Veterans with their Young Brides-- Incl Supreme court disallowed ones.

We were all Known as Maj Patil and  OFFICERS OF SODE24A... Mrs Rita Babbar W/O LATE MAJ VP BABBAR OUR COURSE SENIOR added a great Value to our Presence.
The visits to the Faculties made us Updated to the present--some of us

Visit to so early in the morning to Army AeroNodal Centre Of Microlites was a discussion but which turned out to be almost one of the Most relished with parachutes & what Not of the THRILLS.
It was an excellent demo and worth the early morning trip on Dhar road to the AANC, being so ably led by Col Puri and Col Chawla (This Video since uploaded on you tube is an evidence of all smiles and smiles on our faces),

Well done Signallers, you made us proud with your wings.

We are so much intimately connected with Mhow, having been to this place for courses not only in MCTE but also in Infantry School and the then College of Combat, that it is more like our home town. What a lovely feeling when we received a set of three books before our departure. It will further our bandage with this lovely town.

THREE CHEERS SODE 24A

We can never be able to give a full account of our Reunion, as it is beyond our written or spoken words. The SODE 24 A including those who could not make it to Mhow for compulsions thank MCTE for giving us an opportunity to relive our SODE days after four decades. Their grand show and unparalleled hospitality has been beyond any measures. We also  extend three cheers to Madhav and Savita Datar for not only making our wishes come true in practical terms but also fine tuning each event and happening to make the same unforgettable for the rest of our lives.

Three Cheers... We Part to Meet Again
